My co-worker told me about this place, so I booked it for my husband for his last birthday as a surpise, and boy, was he surprised.

The place is in an industrial park in Anaheim, and it was rather non-descript from the outside. But once you step inside, it was an entirely different atmosphere. I was impressed from the start.

The "pilots" are led into a briefing room and the friends/families stay outside. There are video monitors for each of the aircraft so you can follow what your pilot is doing. My husband, who is not easily impressed, was totally into it. It was fun to see all the pilots don on their flight suits and climb into these actual planes. I must say that the experience seemed totally realistic to me, although I have no idea what a real fighter pilot does.

At the end, all the guys came out and I heard a lot of "awsomes" from the pilots. I asked my husband what he thought, and he said it was "really good" while smiling ear to ear (that's a rare compliment coming from him). He enjoyed it so much, he said he would come back with his buddies, so I think this place would make a great gift for a teenager or any guy (or gal).
